Frederick Schock

Local architect Frederick R. Schock designed four picturesque residences showcasing the Queen Anne and Shingle styles of architecture. The designs of Schock, a talented local interpreter of popular picturesque styles, helped set the tone for development of the Austin community in the 1880's-90's prior to its annexation to Chicago.
