Kenwood United Church of Christ, circa 1887, photo by CCL, 1988 The core of this district centers on the intersection of 45th and Berkeley. It is largely comprised of masonry rowhouses dating to 1890-1905. However, the district also includes 100 surrounding structures, which are located outside of the core, some built prior to the area's annexation to Chicago in 1889.
